Laura & Txetxu | Wedding in Bilbao

Laura & Txetxu | Wedding in Bilbao

Returning has never been any easier. Especially when it comes to leaving behind the journey of our lives. In 2019 we had come back after 2 years in Canada, and that involved a mixture of great feelings, for having lived a unique experience, for having known new places, and, above all, for having made new and great friends. We were very homesick, but on the other hand, there was also a sense of sadness for giving up the Canadian Dream.

Once here, and after a significant period of reflection and changes, starting again as wedding photographers in Bilbao was quite a challenge. This stage is often accompanied by a feeling of nostalgia for all the wonderful things we have experienced along the way. We were excited to reconnect with people alike us, despite all the difficulties of always starting from scratch. Of course, we never imagined that our return home would lead us to meet an incredible couple who would later become an important part of our lives.

Laura and Txetxu contacted us as soon as we got back from Canada, the ease with which we connected was surprising, and the many things we had and still have in common. They made it clear to us from the first moment the weight that photography had in their lives, and how we had been their first and only option as wedding photographers. Initially, their wedding was going to be totally different, it was completely planned, although the pandemic got in the way of their plans. We always make it clear how important the connection between both parties is, in order to be able to get the best out of our couples, however with them everything was so natural and organic, and we forged a great friendship based on craft beer and quite a few spanish “cachopos” ^^.

A year later everything had changed, and their wedding was going to be completely different. María, from Life Moments Design, was then in charge of getting everything together again, and they ended up getting married at Finca Isasi, a small oasis in Gordetxola, Bilbao, in front of a small group of people. It was a truly intimate and exciting day and we were deeply honored to be a part of it.

Today, Laura and Txetxu are happily married, and we are grateful to have them in our lives. They have become an important part of our life. Meeting them and living their story was the absolute demonstration that the best things come when we least expect the.
